Why Hardness Calibration Matters
Hardness testing is an important part of quality control, material verification, and manufacturing processes. It helps verify that metals and other materials have the proper mechanical properties needed to perform reliably in their intended application. Incorrect hardness can indicate problems with material selection, heat treatment, or manufacturing processes and may lead to premature wear, component failure, rejected product, costly rework, and scrap.
