Magnehelic Calibration

Why Pressure Calibration Matters

Pressure and differential pressure measurements are often used to make real-time decisions about equipment and process conditions. If a pressure gauge or magnehelic gauge is reading incorrectly, operators may believe a process is running normally when the actual pressure is outside the required range.

For example, magnehelic gauges are commonly used to monitor dust collectors, baghouses, air filters, ventilation systems, clean rooms, and other airflow systems. An inaccurate differential pressure reading can hide a plugged filter, restricted airflow, damaged filter media, or an improperly operating dust collection system. This can contribute to poor air quality, reduced equipment efficiency, process problems, premature filter replacement, and unexpected downtime.
