Why is a TUS and SAT important?
TUS and SAT are complementary but distinct requirements that are essential for maintaining process control and protecting product quality. A TUS verifies temperature uniformity throughout the furnace work zone, while an SAT verifies that the furnace’s permanent temperature-measurement system accurately represents the actual furnace temperature. Together, these tests help identify hot spots, cold spots, and measurement errors that can result in improperly processed material, rejected product, rework, scrap, production delays, and significant financial losses. Regular TUS and SAT testing provides confidence that products are being processed under controlled and consistent temperature conditions.
